GZIYOUNG - KONKOMA

BIOGRAPHY:

Records have it that OSA GODSON OSA popularly known as Gziyoung was born a native of Kakubok Irruan in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, in the South South region of Nigeria on the 25th day of February, 1986.

Gziyoung is a Choreographer, Instrumentalist (Drummer), Singer, Songwriter and a Performer.

OSA GODSON OSA had his Primary, Secondary and University education in Calabar ( FSLC - Etim Ekong Nyong Memorial Nursery & Primary School / SSCE - Hope Waddell Training Institution / BA French - University of Calabar, Cross River State). After which He proceeded for the compulsory one year National youth Service Corp (NYSC) program in Anambra state, Nigeria. Suffice to say, He is the first child of six children.

DANCE & MUSIC CAREER:

Gziyoung has carved for himself a niche in the Nigeria Entertainment Industry (NEI), first as a young dancer and being motivated by the dance moves of "Koffi Olomide's crew, Awilo Longomba's and Extra Musica", He co-founded the crew "ROUND POINT" with Charlie in 2003 having the likes of - Iyanya, Monkals, Stephen, Owele, Modupe and many others as co-dancers and singers but it never lasted as members of Round Point broke up.

Gziyoung's professional dance career began in 2004 when "DARHYMIX" dance crew was born, having Stephen Iteh (Egboun) as a co-dancer and together they won the 1st ever Calabar Carnival Dance Fiesta/Competition in 2007 and later became a Choreographer, Choreographing dances with/for Firms, Organizations and Entertainment bodies too numerous to mention but a few (KANY'S MULTIMEDIA - Queen of Elegant Nigeria, 4 editions / MOUNTAIN CINEMA - Obudu face of culture international, 8 editions & Northfest / BAND SECTIONS in CALABAR CARNIVAL / Queen of Nature Nigeria / Queen of Gold Nigeria / Miss Glamour Nigeria, etc... )

Gziyoung began his music career in 2006 while in his 200 level in the University. He cited Congo famous singers Koffi Olomide and Awilo Longomba as his key musical influences and recorded a couple of Songs with the likes of DJ WOOZY, JIBSWAY, etc in 2008, Yaounde, Cameroon.
He was motivated to pursue music professionally in 2010 after graduating from the University and watching the celebrity lifestyle of Fally Ipupa and J-Martins. He had his first hit single "JOROMI" in 2010, produced by Shadow that earned him a remarkable deal of encouragement, motivation and recognition. This upgraded his lyrical music concept and Choreography skills.

With the success of his first hit single "JOROMI" which has gotten massive response, He has developed a unique afro pop personality using his distinct voice and a dance style to capture the attention of music and dance lovers.

Driven by his passion for Music and Dance, he just recorded a new hit and body itching single titled “KONKOMA” produced by Teddy Banty and he is currently working on a mind blowing video that will thrill music and dance lovers all over the globe as directed by Kelvin Essien of CODED PICTURES.
